Healdsburg Transit

Fixed Route & Dial-a-Ride Services

Healdsburg Transit (HT) operates a public transit service within the Healdsburg city limits.  A variable fixed route service runs Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. and a door-to-door, by appointment, Dial-A-Ride service for eligible residents is operated Monday through Friday with pickups starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 1:15 p.m. The Dial-A-Ride service is operated in cooperation with Healdsburg Taxi.

Healdsburg Transit buses have wheelchairs lifts and are accessible by the disabled.  Healdsburg Transit does not operate on legal holidays.

The bus stops at 28 scheduled locations around Healdsburg serving all the major shopping areas, Healdsburg Hospital and Alliance Clinic, schools and the senior residential complexes and communities.  Stops are marked with the Healdsburg Transit sign.  Transfers to the  Sonoma County Transit #60 bus can be made at the Plaza and shared bus stops on Healdsburg Avenue. The driver will be happy to assist you with coordinating transfers.

Dial-A-Ride Service

For eligible seniors 60+ and disabled individuals under the age of 60 years, Healdsburg Transit offers a door-ro-door Dial-A-Ride service in cooperation with Healdsburg Taxi. Fares for this service are payed by pre-purchased vouchers. Eligibility is determined by application. Applications are available and processed at the Healdsburg Senior Center which is located at 133 Matheson St. Healdsburg, CA 95448. (707) 431-3324. The Senior Center also handles the voucher sales.

The Dial-A-Ride service operates by appointment only Monday - Friday 9:00 - 1:30 pm. Appointments must be made a day in advance by calling  (707) 433-7055 Mondays - Fridays from 9 am - 1:30 pm.  Appointments are scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance.  Although same day requests may be arranged if space is available, a minimum 24-hour advance reservation is recommended.  

The Fixed Route bus provides deviated service to accommodate riders is wheelchairs and the disabled who are unable to use the Dial-A-Ride service. For more information please contact the Senior Center at (707) 431-3324.


Fares - One Way (Exact Change Only)

  • Adults $1.50
  • Seniors (60 years +) $0.75
  • Students (5-18 years or Full Time Student) $1.00
  • Children under 5 years traveling with an adult Free
  • Disabled $0.75 (other than Dial-A-Ride)
  • Dial-A-Ride $1.75 payable by pre-paid voucher. Please see "Dial-A-Ride Service" above

Bus passes are sold in sheets of 12 passes. Passes are sold at the Healdsburg Senior Center, 133 Matheson St. Healdsburg, CA 95448. For more information on bus passes please call us at 431-3324.

Proof of Eligibility for Reduced Fares

  • Seniors: Persons 60 years or older. Proof of age can be a valid Driver License, DMV ID, passport or Medicare card.
  • Students: Persons 18 years or younger or a FULL-TIME student of any age (taking six or more units or attending a trade school on a daily basis). Proof of age can be a valid School ID Card or Driver License. Bus Drivers may also ask for schedule of classes or an enrollment verification letter for students out of highschool.
  • Disabled Rider: Proof of certification can be a Current Regional Transit Connection Discount Card, Medicare Card plus photo ID, DMV Parking Placard ID plus photo ID; disabled license plate registration plus photo ID.
    Please note: Riders from elsewhere may ride Healdsburg Transit at discounted fare by showing valid proof of eligibility (either of age or disability) issued by the transit system in their home area.

Exact change required as the drivers do not carry change. Bus passes are available for purchase at the the Healdsburg Transit Dispatch Center/Senior Center at 133 Matheson St. Passes are sold in sheets of 12.


Bus Ridership Rules

It is our goal to provide you with a safe and pleasurable trip to/from your destination. If you have any  questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to talk to your driver when he/she is stopped at a scheduled stop.  All riders can assist us in providing this service by remembering the following rules:

  • Please do not distract the driver while the bus in in motion.
  • All animals must ride in carriers, with the exception of service animals.
  • Please limit shopping bags to 2 per person and stow parcels on floor in front of you.
  • Please be courteous of your fellow riders: no audible radios or other sound equipment; no boisterous or unruly behavior.
  • Please allow those riders with physical limitations to sit in the forward seats.
  • Please do not smoke, eat or drink on the bus.
  • Do not evade payment of bus fare, misuse transfers, passes or tickets to avoid fare payments.

Healdsburg Transit thanks you for your cooperation in following these rules.

Penal Code Section 640 makes these infractions punishable by a fine up to $250.00.Measure M: Taxes at Work
