The public access hotspot which covers the downtown area between City Hall and the Police Department has been replaced by Sonic.net. The service was overdue for maintenance and some much needed hardware replacements. To continue to provide free web access to the community in the existing WiFi Healdsburg hotspots, the City entered into an agreement with Sonic.net to put in a new system at no cost to the City. The new service provided by Sonic.net is now operational and you will no longer see the wireless network named "wifihealdsburg". The new network name is "Sonic.net Open Wi-Fi". The Sonic.net WiFi network should be showing up as an available network when you are at the Plaza, the Villa, the Swim Center and the Community Center.
