UPDATE, 8:20 AM, Oct. 8: The Fire Weather Watch will be upgraded to a Red Flag Warning starting at 5 AM Wednesday through 5 PM Thursday. The U.S. National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Advisory for the North Bay mountains and East Bay Hills from 6 AM Wednesday through 3 PM Thursday.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The latest weather forecast from the U.S. National Weather Service calls for increasing fire weather concerns by the middle of the week as another offshore wind event sets up. This will lead to decreasing relative humidity values and very dry conditions across the North Bay Hills, East Bay Hills and Diablo Range.
As a result, a Fire Weather Watch has been issued that will begin at 5 PM Wednesday, Oct. 9, through 5 PM on Thursday, Oct. 10.
PG&E has elevated the risk of a public-safety power-shutdown (PSPS). We are following the situation closely to respond appropriately if necessary. Note that the City of Healdsburg operates its own electric-utility department.
Please be fire-safe
