 Women's Public Safety Day 2022

Women's Public Safety Day
This past week the City of Healdsburg Fire Department staff participated in the first annual Women’s Public Safety Day at the Santa Rosa Fire Safety Training Center. Healdsburg Fire was represented by Fire Marshal/Division Chief Linda Collister, Fire Engineer Amanda Newhall, and Fire Admin Berenice Garcia. Our staff led by example in showing that it is important to be mentors for women who are interested fire service as a career. Besides working for Healdsburg Fire, Chief Collister is also an instructor at the SRJC Fire Academy and was there to encourage other women who will be future firefighters.

  Budget Simulation Workshops

Budget Simulation Workshops City of Healdsburg

We are excited to use a new tool to help all residents engage with the CIty's current budgetary cycle. As part of our upcoming two-year budget development, we would like feedback from all of our residents on how the City should spend funds across departments. Please follow the links down below to take the budget simulation and engage in the budget development process. When you use the simulation you will be able to adjust revenues and expenditures and provide your thoughts and comments on each City department’s budget. Your voice and priorities matter to us.  Please take a moment to share your feedback on how the City should prioritize funding decisions! The budget simulation will be available until April 10th.

To use the interactive budget simulation please visit:

The City has also announced public meeting dates for residents to learn more about the budget and have their questions answered:

Tuesday, March 15th from 6PM-8PM
Saturday, March 26th from 10AM-12PM

All meetings will be offered as bilingual workshops and will be held at the Healdsburg Community Center in the Community Meeting Room. Workshops will include a short presentation and an opportunity for members of the community to complete the budget simulation. The community workshops are offered in partnership with Corazón Healdsburg.

 Employee Anniversaries

City of Healdsburg Senior Engineer

Congrats to Clay Thistle (pictured here) our Senior Engineer for 5 years of service and to Scott Eland, Police Sergeant for 15 years of service with the City of Healdsburg! We recognize the efforts of our employees who work hard everyday in all that they do.

Healdsburg Recreation Park

Healdsburg Parks and Recreation

Spring is right around the corner and baseball season at Healdsburg Recreation Park is upon us. Our parks staff have been putting the finishing touches to the infield which opened this past week. The infield at Healdsburg Recreation Park has now been manicured, graded, and leveled. Staff have added 10 yards of infield mix with a half-ton of infield conditioner. The football bleachers have been relocated and staff have removed the football goal post from the outfield and renovated the pitching mound and home plate. Our goal has been to make the field safer and eliminate any dangerous hazards especially those surrounding the turf grass areas that have been building up from last year’s baseball season. Our staff has been hard at work to provide players an optimum playing field for this upcoming season.

 Farm To Pantry

Farm To Pantry

Healdsburg Community Services has partnered with Farm to Pantry to glean the oranges from Plaza Park. The oranges will be donated to local food banks, youth services, and meal sites throughout Sonoma County.  We would like to extend our thanks to Farm to Pantry for helping us glean 591 lbs. of oranges from the citrus trees at the park and providing a bountiful resource to our community.
