A group of community residents is working with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to develop effective recommendations for designing a more sustainable Healdsburg. The community members applied for and received a community-building grant through the AIA’s Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program earlier this year, and from August 13-15, a multi-disciplinary team from the AIA will visit Healdsburg to assess and hear from the Healdsburg community.
On Monday, August 13th, from 6-7:30 p.m., the community group will hold a town meeting at the Healdsburg High School gym. At this meeting, the AIA team will listen to community feedback on topics including housing, economic development, the environment, governance, and arts and culture. On Wednesday, August 15th, from 6-7:30 p.m., the AIA team will present their findings from its three-day visit of Healdsburg. This second town hall will also be held at the Healdsburg High gym. Later this fall, the AIA will provide a final report with in-depth analysis and recommendations.
Everyone is invited to both meetings. To learn more, go to: www.Healdsburg-SDAT.org or https://www.facebook.com/Healdsburg-SDAT-436533856812958/
