NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Healdsburg is seeking applications from interested persons to serve on the Senior Citizen Advisory Commission. The membership shall consist of up to seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. All members shall be residents of Healdsburg and senior citizens (a senior citizen being anyone fifty-five (55) years of age or older). The Commission serves as an advocate for Healdsburg’s older adult residents by:
◦Identifying the needs of Healdsburg senior residents
◦Advising the City Council, City boards, commissions, and departments, as well as private agencies on matters related to those needs
◦Creating / increasing awareness of those needs among the broader population
◦Disseminating information to seniors on services available to them.
