In honor of Earth Day, the City’s Utility Department is offering a limited number of free trees to our utility customers. By planting the right tree in the right place, you can reduce energy costs, improve air quality and provide aesthetic beauty to your property and community.
Starting March 18, visit arborday.org/Healdsburg to reserve up to two trees per service address. The online reservation tool helps you select tree species and determine the best location on the property; the reservation tool will also give you information on annual energy and greenhouse gas emission savings. We selected tree species for their low water requirements, fire tolerance and size at maturity. We are offering: Crape myrtle, Chinese pistache, Western redbud, Strawberry tree.
After registration, you will receive information about the community pickup event on April 20 at the Community Center, located at 1557 Healdsburg Ave.
