The Healdsburg City Council has approved a much-needed volunteer program to address the top areas of concern for older adults: transportation, housing and home maintenance.
The City of Healdsburg volunteer program is a multifaceted program that captures the generous spirit of Healdsburg. It provides volunteers an opportunity to give back to their community in many ways, including a volunteer-driver program for seniors, a home-maintenance program, shared-housing opportunities in partnership with SHARE Sonoma County, and supporting the many existing volunteer opportunities within the community.
For detailed information on the program, check out this informational presentation Opens a New Window. from the February 19, 2019, City Council meeting.

The first in a series of educational forums on the program are scheduled for 11 a.m., February 19, and 6 p.m., February 20, at the Senior Center. SHARE Healdsburg is set to launch on March 1.
