New energy rebates and updates will be available by April 1!

Electric vehicles and other clean mobility options help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. The Electric Department has developed several incentive programs in addition to State and Federal programs to support the transition to sustainable modes of transportation.

EV Discount Program


Electric Vehicles play an important role to achieve clean mobility by reducing pollution and emissions. 

The Electric Department offers the following discount to EV drivers that switch to a Time of Use rate:
  • $40.50 per month for income-qualified CARE customers. 
  • $20.25 per month for electric customers. 
Rebate Form is  here. Once the application is received, we will run a Time of Use analysis to ensure the time of use and discount result in savings.

Public EV Charging 


Currently, the City has 10 EV chargers in the City Hall parking lot located at 401 Grove St and 2 EV chargers at the Senior Center located at 133 Matheson St.

The charging rate is $.55/hr. (Fees paid through ChargePoint.)
Charging is free on weekdays from 5:00pm - 7:00am and all day on weekends. 
E-Bike Types

Electric Bike Rebate


The City if offering rebates for e-bikes and e-bike conversion kits to promote biking as a clean mobility option.

The rebates are as follows: 
  • $700 for income-qualified CARE customers
  • $400 for an e-bike purchased in Healdsburg
  • $300 for an e-bike purchased outside of Healdsburg
  • $50 for an e-bike conversion attachment kit

CALeVIP Sonoma Coast Incentive Project

- Rebates for DC Fast chargers and Level II charging infrastructure. More information can be found here. 

Federal Tax Incentive

 - All electric and plug-in hybrid cars may be eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500. The credit amount will vary based on the capacity of the battery used to power the vehicle.
